Turkey Vultures (1 Viewer)

While spotting at a nearby dam I see something unusual for me. Overhead I follow a Common Vulture riding the thermals when I see it make a quick pass and exit in a hurry. Normally they hover and move along. This animal is on a mission. I look down and see along the edge of the dam several Turkey Vultures with their red snouts resting in the tall grass.
Normally I see a lone bird at a road kill not a group. I have seen male Harriers gather at the same spot, which I thought these were until I saw the snouts. Maybe a group of bachelors or sharing a kill I couldn't be sure. Has anyone ever seen this before?
Right time. right place, right gear 4 nature to present. I luv this new handheld 16 x 80 scope for watching the miracle of flight. Once I get the target, the brain takes over. Keep a sharp eye! Birdbrain14
