Unknown Bird Song - Detroit/Southeast Michigan USA (2 Viewers)

Greetings! I've scoured the first few dozen pages of this forum, and thought it would be easier to post a new thread. I'm trying to identify the bird that makes this song. Some info:

Link to audio file

  • Southeast Michigan, Detroit
  • Heard in early May through the first week of June 2021. There was a pause, and heard again on June 30th
  • There are at least 2 of these birds, but not many more than that
  • They sing from high places- trees, light posts, etc.
  • I've only glimpsed one once (waaaaay up in a tree, backlit and hard to see), and it appeared to have orange or yellow chest
I've run this song through several ID apps, they all say it's an American Robin or Baltimore Oriole, but I can't find any confirmation that either of these birds make this song (plus my neighborhood has a billion Robins, and I never heard this song until recently).

Any assistance is most definitely appreciated, my inability to ID this bird is driving me crazy!
