Greenshank at the Flashes this morning as per Dave J.

Also the first Garden Warbler of the year at the southeast corner of the Sailing Pool, also as per Dave J.
Yesterday's Garden Warbler was the earliest ever, surpassing the previous record of 16th April set in 2014 by one day.

Other significant early return dates this spring have been Arctic Tern on the 7th April (the earliest by two days) and Common Whitethroat on the 9th April (equalling the record from 2010).
 
A darvic-ringed BHG at the Flashes this afternoon. Details & a photo attached. This bird was seen on the Moors Pool earlier this month.

Highlights from an evening roost tonight at the Moors: Female Marsh Harrier through @ 20:33 headed NE, 1x Swift, 2x Oystercatcher, 1x Common Sandpiper, Sedge Warbler, Cettis (heard), GC Grebe, Tufted Duck, Mute Swan, Greylag & Canada Geese, Song Thrush and Grey Heron. Male Roe Deer in front of Jacobs Hide.
