Can anyone help me ID this bird. I am pretty sure both pictures are the same bird. Merlin Bird ID keeps saying a Bells Vireo which is scare in that area. I am wondering about a Cassin's Vireo (also Scarce in that area) since there seems to be a little yellow/green color on the back but the gray on the head seems a little light for a Cassin's. Someone there mentioned a warbling Vireo but the Warbling has no wing marks so that one should be ruled out._Q2A3236.jpg_Q2A3210.jpg

Merlin is actually correct here, this is a Bell's Vireo. I had three of them in the Rio Grande valley at different locations two weeks ago (they're unexpected there as well), so I think they're having a good year in Texas.

Clearly photos of two different birds. Check the pattern around (especially at the rear of) the eye and details of the greater-covert wing-bar.
