They were flying very far from the beach and literally landed in the sea... first I thought they were Phalaropus fulicarius, but seeing the pictures better they are looking like Calidris alba... what do you think?

Yes probably. We cannot be 100% certain with images of this quality I think, but I can't suggest any other obvious candidates
