In 1996, a BBC drama ran into filming difficulties and a filler was needed quickly: the result was the hastily conceived, Bristol-based observational series Vets' School, which spawned Vets in Practice. The latter was regularly watched by 10 million, who obviously enjoyed the sight of Norwegian student Trude Mostue failing to inject a kitten, as well as relishing the frequent opportunities to ogle Steve Leonard minus a shirt. But the icing on the cake was when students Emma Milne and Joe Inglis fell in love - it was TV gold. This chirpy documentary (worryingly stretched out to make a five-part series) reminds us of the original show and all the spin-offs, while updating us on where they are now.
