Yuhina gularis uthaii Eames, JC, 2002 OD here

I name this taxon in honor of Uthai Treesucon a leading conservationist and field ornithologist in Thailand.

The Eponym Dictionary of Birds claims:
Stripe-throated Yuhina ssp. Yuhina gularis uthaii Eames, 2002
Uthai Treesucon is a Thai biologist, ornithologist and conservationist. He worked as a wildlife researcher at Mahidol University and has led birding tours since 1983. He is a former chairman of the Bird Conservation Society of Thailand.

The key to Sientific names:
Uthai Treesucon (fl. 2002) Thai ornithologist, conservationist (subsp. Yuhina gularis).

He wrote as well Birds of Thailand Lynx Edition.

To be finicky (somewhat nitpicking); he co-wrote the Book: BIRDS OF THAILAND, by U. [Uthai] Treesucon and W. [Wich’yanan] Limparungpatthanakij, 2018. Published by Lynx Edicions, Barcelona (452 pp).

Book review (here):
Uthai Treesucon has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Biology. He has worked as a wildlife researcher at Mahidol University (Bangkok, Thailand) and is a former chairman of the Bird Conservation Society of Thailand (BCST). Wich’yanan Limparungpatthanakij has a Master’s Degree in Biology from Mahidol University. He is a member of the BCST Records Committee.

This is a field guide ...
