Protective filter for Bigma (1 Viewer)

Hi Folks,

I am looking for a UV/skylight filter to protect the front lens of my Bigma.
With a 86mm filter diameter I can't get a Hoya SMC like the ones I use on other lenses.

Any word of wisdom?

A lower grade Hoya, B+W, a Sigma EX DG (didn't even know that Sigma offers filters as well -are they any good?), or a multicoated Bower UV (made in Japan)?

Which ones to avoid (ordered a $20 MC one from China -don't expect much but no loss -if it ever gets shipped), which ones to seek out?

I am open for suggestions!

Thanks

I have both Sigma multicoated (on my Sigma lenses ) and B+W multicoated on my Canon lenses. I cannot find any differences between them. The Sigma are much cheaper (try Bristol Cameras), particularly 86mm.(I haven't been able to find out whether Sigma manufacture their filters or are rebranding some other manufacturer).
