Was walking back from a mates last night, to hear the wonderful call of a Short Eared Owl over Lawson Road field. This call was going on for around 30 minutes and came from the direction of the allotments.

I know the Long Eared are around there but didnt know the Short Eared had made a return.... wish I could see them both at night!!!!

It's possible they're in the copse of trees behind the allotments next to the cinder path to the main reserve gate.
