I had a post and photo go sailing off a while ago, wherever to, it didn't land here, I hope not anyway, because here it comes again.
St. Augustine is a Sea and Shore bird paradise. Wild bird activity goes on right in the heart of downtown and the residential areas, and for more adventure, the outlying areas go on for miles. This is an almost "downtown" bird, a Tricolor Heron hunting Fiddler Crabs at Mission Nombre De Dios. Dozens of tourists around taking pictures of Aunt Minnie smiling away next to a trash container, never seeing all the great subjects around them. (Sorry about that, Aunt Minnie)


Back to correct the ID on this, it is a LITTLE BLUE HERON.
