Advice - birding near Hangzhou (1 Viewer)

Roger Payne
I'm likely to be visiting the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Hangzhou this July to give a course, and would like to do some birding beforehand or afterwards. I've never been to China before, but I gather that it's difficult to do anything without a guide. I've be grateful for advice as to what I might do, or who I might contact...
Many thanks, Roger

Easy birding in Hangzhou Botanical Garden and around West Lake.
If u have more time,u could try Courtois's Laughingthrush in Wuyuan in early July,Nordmann's Greenshank in Rudong in mid July,Huangshan Mountain for Rusty Laughingthrush and Slaty Bunting,Tianmu Mountain for Slaty Bunting.............
