Good birding sites near Ilfracombe? (1 Viewer)

We are having a family holiday in Ilfracombe last week of July. I will want to get out on my own to do some birding when there. Any tips of good sites nearby? Are there any guided walks with Wildlife Trust, RSPB etc? Is it worth going to Lundy for birds at that time of year?

Many thanks, Holly

You could try seawatching at Morte Point (or the Capstone if you're on foot) or, to get closer to the birds, take a trip to Lundy which could turn up something good on the crossing - maybe the Little Shearwater might still be hanging around. It'll be a bit quiet on the land so concentrate on seabirds would be my advice.
