Opticron 7x36s- differences between BGA Classics and BGA PC AGs (1 Viewer)

Hi,

can anyone tell me what the differences are between these two, please.

I know that the Classics have twist up eye-cups and the BGA PC AGs have fold down rubber ones.

But is there much difference optically?
Perhaps the more modern Classics are sharper, more contrasty, etc, etc. Or is there little difference optically and the change from one to the other was little or no more than the eye-cup redesign?

Does anyone know how they compare to the Bausch & Lomb Elite 7x36s? I read a thread here that speculated whether Opticron took on the Elite design when B&L stopped making them. Any truth in that do you think?

Thanks in advance for the wealth of your knowledge.

Martin

Martin,

Just deleted my post. Misread the 7x36 for the 7x26. No info on that I'm afraid, other than what I've read. The newer Classics have new prism and lens coatings. Apologies.
