here is a picture of a hover fly with my A330 fuji camera

P.S Does anybody know what flower/plant it is hovering on

The plant is Eupatorium cannabinum; I think that is indeed hemp agrimony in English.

The hoverfly is a female of the genus Sphaerophoria (This genus has aphidophagous larvae, so you can count them as beneficials in your garden, like ladybird beetles most of which also feed on aphids)
