OK - went through the warbler photos from Green Cay/Wakodahatchee the past few weeks, and need to make sure I've got correct IDs on these...any help much appreciated!:

1. Palm warbler?

2. Palm?

3. Yellow rumped?

4. This one was near other yellow rumpeds, with similar bits of yellow on the belly, but seemed to have an inordinately large eye-ring, and larger eye:

5. Palm or yellow rumped for these next 4?

Agree with all of fugl's IDs. The Blue-headed Vireo shot is beautiful (#4).

A good way to tell these birds apart quickly (Palm vs Yellow-rumped) is that Palms almost constantly pump their tails up and down. Also, Palm Warbler has bright yellow undertail coverts in all plumages. Yellow-rumped does not pump its tail nor have yellow undertail coverts in any plumage.

Wow - that's always nice to get a new bird! I haven't ever shot a blue-headed vireo - I really never got much more of a view of him than from underneath since he stayed higher up in the branches - but the large eye ring stood out and I was determined to get a shot of him. I'm trying to get better with the warblers, but the palms and yellow rumpeds still get me mixed up with their varying plumage...I'll need to start keeping an eye on the tail behavior - that's a good tip.

Justin I have tweeted several of your photos lately (pun intended) so hope your fan base increases! . Merry, I also tweeted your kite shots from Lake O !
