I have now received this wildguides book that we had discussed earlier here;http://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=18981
and am very impressed with it so far. We have all got used to haveing field guides with soft covers, so to find a hard back on a small guide seems a bit strange, but the content, layout and pictures are all superb. For us amature orchid hunters David Lang has added some up to the second info on various "lumps and splits" that we may otherwise have not been aware of inc. Young's Helleborine as a sub of Broad-leaved, and full species to "Lindisfarne" Helleborine. I can reccomend it to anyone with an interest in our orchids.
