Waxwing (1 Viewer)

It all depends if we get an invasion this year and it's too soon to tell if that'll happen but you might get the odd few later on in the thick of winter if your lucky.

Hebrides waxwing

A waxwing winged into the garden just ten minutes ago - first for a few years. There are bound to be others about. Unfortunately for the waxwings, the blackbirds have already had all the berries, so it probably won't be hanging about.

Any photos Mike? First of the Autumn I think, on the west coast... definitely not a Cedar Waxwing?

I found a small feeding party of these birds on East Mersea Essex on the first of January this year so thats where I will be going to see my waxwings if its a good winter. And if anyone else would like to know where to see them its at Cudmore Grove Country Park East Mersea Essex.
