Gareno Lodge - directions from Tena (1 Viewer)

Hi folks

Does anyone have good directions to this lodge? I'm supposed to be going there soon and online directions are rather vague. I'll email the manager but his written English is only slightly better than my Spanish..

Hi Alan,

The easiest way to get to Gareno is to take the road to Misahualli just outside of Tena. Once you arrive at the square (very small town so you can't miss it) turn right and cross the bridge. Continue on this road until you reach the "T" and turn left. Travel about 2 hours until you see the guard post on the right which enters the Huaorani reservation. The GPS coordinates for the lodge are 1 02' 11" S and 77 23' 54" W.

Also, if you talk to Pedro (or have an Spanish speaker talk to him as he does not understand English), he will meet you in Tena and travel with you to Gareno.
