Malaria in India - new strain. (1 Viewer)

Since we go for 9 to 11 weeks, mostly in Goa with 2/3 weeks travelling elsewhere, I do not normally take malaria tablets except for Assam which has a particularly nasty strain of the disease.
Have just had a call from my doctors surgery, very good service from a practice nurse, which tells me that the nasty strain has moved into much of India including Goa.
The usually tabs are no longer seen has being effective. So if your off to India soon, roll on Jan 8th., it would be a good idea to have a chat with your practice nurse.
