How many of you have completed a bird family (or subfamily) for an area or for that matter the world?
I have seen all the family Pelecanidae for North America, and am only missing one for the family Ardeidae in Texas.

I just looked in my Birds of Chile book and the only one I see right now is the Cathartidae for Chile. But I'll see if I can find any others.

I looked in my Birds of Argentina book and got the following families completed for Argentina:

Rheidae, Podicipedidae, Anhingidae, Ciconiidae, Threskiornithidae, Phoenicopteridae, Anhimidae, Cathartidae, Phasianidae, Aramidae, Heliornithidae, Cariamidae, Jacanidae, Rostratulidae, Haematopodidae, Recurvirostridae, Chionididae, Tytonidae, Trogonidae, Momotidae, Ramphastidae, Bucconidae, Dendrocolaptidae, Phytotomidae, Corvidae, Cinclidae, Troglodytidae, Mimidae, Sylviidae (Polioptilidae), Vireonidae, Tersinidae, Ploceidae, Sturnidae.

After further searching, I also have the completed the families Haematopodidae, Cracidae, and Tytonidae for the U.S. I have all of the Cathartidae for Texas as well.
