Hi all. Currently in corfu in resort called san stephanos.

My father and i have both seen a large buzzard size raptor.

The underside was dark brown to black with white flecking, with a topside of red-brown, however no sighting of topside of wings were seen.

It was being mobbed by a shrike, over olive groves and scrub mid to late morning.

Has anybody got any ideas as to what this could be? Any information to common large raptors here?

They could actually be Buzzards. There are certainly plenty where I am currently on Crete.

Another possibility could be Booted Eagle???
