Getting to Helgoland in windy conditions (1 Viewer)

Hallo,
Me and four friends have rooms booked on Helgoland 2 - 6 October. The problem is that Wednesday (the 2nd) is quite windy, around 12 m/s for Helgoland. Reederei H.G. Rahder warned us that the ferry might not depart. I wonder, do any of you know what ferry from Büsum that runs in the toughest wind? did you arrive at helgoland?

it's a bit tricky in autumn tho get there - and to leave in the right moment. i once had a longer absence from work than thought first, because the captain of the "lady von büsum" decided to cancel the tour...

for your next journey to that island:
in my opinion the safest possibility is the "atlantis" ferry from cuxhaven. but an advantage concerning büsum is: when you leave the car at büsum and the ship from büsum doesn't make the trip on the day you want to leave helgoland, there is the possibility to take the tiny plane to büsum aswell.
they say that the "lady of büsum" stays in harbour more ofetn than the "funny girl", both leaving from büsum.
