Crowned eagle on monitor lizard (1 Viewer)

I found this picture on a forum was wondering if anyone had any idea of the source and backstory?

Very large prey for a not so large eagle.

These Crowned Eagles remind me in their nature of the massive, and sadly extinct Haast's Eagle.....

Can you imagine the ferociousness of a Crowned Eagle, but 67% bigger, and 3x heavier ??! :eek!:

What mighty (and just a little scary too!) birds they must have been......

Chosun :gh:
