Shorebirds moving north? (1 Viewer)

I am wondering if anyone in the North Houston area saw an increase of birds that are typically found on the shore? I live in Humble, on a partially wooded golf course with two man made lakes. Last November I saw THREE Roseate spoonbills spend a day walking the green and trying to get food from the lakes. It was amazing but also puzzling to see these birds 50 miles in. Another birder I talked to said that she'd seen ibises too.
