Bird of prey (1 Viewer)

Hi I'm new to the forum and today I managed to take two pictures of two different birds of prey. Could someone pls confirm, is this a peregrine? I've been trying to catch photos of the birds of prey for years and have only managed few shots of the local sparrow hawks. Many thanks. Natasha

Looks like an Osprey to me.

Hi Natasha and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BF :t:

Thank you. Sorry I put this thread in the wrong section. Shall I remove and add in the identification one? Really an osprey, wow that would be great, the other is a peregrine isn't it? Many thanks!

Sorry Clark your post just showed, so it is a buzzard then, we do get a few around, and the other is a peregrine, that's great, it's taken me years to get a photo. There were a pair and you could hear them high up. But when I went to get a picture they spilt up. The local pigeons which come into my garden are getting a hard time today, there's been birds of prey plus the sparrow hawks, all day today. Thanks

Ospreys are moving through at the moment Natasha so keep your eyes peeled. One has been reported from Llanrhidian marsh the last couple of days.
