Permission Panti forest? (1 Viewer)

I was just wondering if you need a permission of the Johor Forestry Department to enter Panti forest. I think I read something about it on Malaysia Birding.

Not really current, but I visited in Aug 2013 and the same stories of needing permission existed then. My wife and I visited 4 days in a row and never saw anyone that might ask for a permit. Visitor center was unmanned throughout. We wrote for permission at what seemed to be the place that would issue permission and received no reply. Rail Babbler was easy.
