Manila Spot-billed Ducks (1 Viewer)

These seem to be Spot-billed Ducks, seen about a week ago on the moat of Fort Santiago in Manila. The fieldguide says that there have only been three records of this species in the Philippines. Do you think I can safely tick them?

They appear to have at least some domestic duck genes I think. Pure spot-bills would normally be darker on the body and paler on the head with a better defined and yellow tip to the bill. They also have the 'fat' appearance of many domestic hybrids.

Yes, makes sense, thanks.
