Bengal Florican (1 Viewer)

Hi All

I wonder can anyone help. My understanding is that Bengal Florican has been impossible to see in Kaziranga NP for the past few years. Is this still the case?

If so are there any sites which are closer to Kaziranga than Manas NP where one may have a good chance of seeing floricans. Is Orang NP any good for this species, it seems to be quite hit and miss there.

My current rough itinerary is to take in Manas NP but if I can find somewhere closer it would save me quite a bit of time

Anyway any help or information would be much appreciated

Possible in Orang NP, in the grasslands close to the river. However, the roads there are usually not accessible (only in one of three visits I was allowed to get there and we got it just after arriving at the spot). So it is a hit and miss here....

Not much use at this site I'm afraid but just to say that it's also possible in Cambodia at a couple of places.

Yes, we had it some distance from Siem Reap. Can't recall exactly, but we must have driven about 1 1/2 hours in general NE direction.
