Ring on a redpoll (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys ,
I photographed a Meally redpoll to the South of Maastricht in The Netherlands. In the picture you can see a ring.
I think I can read: SSELS......in the bottom row.
Could this be from Brussels in Belgium?

Yes, but with only the 118 of the ring number that's probably about as far as you can go. As I recall (I lived in Maastricht in the late 1960's) the border is only a few kms away. so could be quite a local bird.
