North Beach Lowestoft (1 Viewer)

Last night around 5pm I visited North Beach Lowestoft. Nothing much of note but there were eight Arenaria interpres in Hamilton Dock along with two Calidris alba,
On the sea defences at Ness Point three Calidris maritima flew in & settled on the rocks.

Eight Carduelis cannabina were seen to fly south over the sea & another 13 of mixed age & sex were settled on the sea wall.

Columba palumbus numbers had increased on the Denes to 106 These are probably migrants feeding up on the grass. They were very flighty & wheeled around the grass in a silent circle before landing & resuming feeding.

Finally a nice Fulmarus glacialis flew North close inshore over the groynes.

A pleasant evening walk
