Does anyone have any recommendations for birding sites within easy reach of Mexico city? Have a 6 day trip planned in mid May and as I've never been south of Montreal I was looking to see as many birds as possible. Any help will be gratefully received!
Cheers

First of all, I would recommend that you get your hands on the field guide be Howell and Webb as well as the Where to watch birds in Mexico by Steve NG Howell. The latter one has chapter 8 devoted to central Mexico, "areas within easy reach from Mexico City".

Secondly, there has been several discussions of Mexico in birdforum, both in this section and in the section for Vacational trip reports.
