Starling-wing spreading behavior. (1 Viewer)

This European Starling repeatedly spread its wings as it was making some odd sounds.-Is this typical behavior for a Starling and why was it doing this?

I'd say its the male doing his mating call and dance, I see it with the pair that nest close by, the male is making me laugh at the moment , he does a brilliant impersonation of a herring gull and also a crying child.
