Birding in North Norfolk (UK) (1 Viewer)

Hi

Iam going to birding along the North Norfolk coast next week for 4 days and was wondering if any birders have any good sites for crossbills. I would welcome any advice or help.

Hi Ian
One of the places you might try is Lynford Arboretum (near Munford) where you would also have a chance of the Hawfinches and the Firecrest that are present there.

In North Norfolk, Crossbills have been present in Sandringham Woods but this is a chance sighting. The visitor centre car park is as good as spot as any, or even at Wolferton on the triangle where the Golden Pheasants are. Make sure you are familiar with the 'chip chip' call as they often fly over.
