Eyelids in your view and one clear circle (1 Viewer)

What are the best tips you can give for getting a good view with your binoculars without your eyelids interferring? What is the best way to insure you get one clear view (not 2 overlapping circles)?

We have the following 2 kinds of binoculars for our family:

1) Cabela's 8x42 (same as Nikon 8x42) Roof Prism

2) Burris 8x32 Roof Prism

The best way to avoid the two overlapping circles is not to watch old films made by non-binocular users! (E.g. Where Eagles Dare)

If you have the sort of eyecups that can be folded down - try it.... even if you're not a spectacles wearer...
