Hi all,
As the title sugests i am adding Hilsea Lines to the local patch section. This is an area to the north of portsea island. The main interest for non wildlife people is the battlements but for those who love wildlife and especially birds it is the diverse areas all under a 2 milesish stretch.

Follow the link to a PDF leaflet of the area for u to look at. I was there 1 week ago and visit 2 or 3 times a month. My sightings last visit kingfishers, peregrine, various ducks, kestrel, lots of house sparrows (not endangered in portsmouth) and an owl though id was difficult. Also remember this area is only a stones throw from Farlington Marshes in fact its eastern end runs to the marshes itself.
Hope many others can add to my last sightnings and more people enjoy the area of Hilsea Lines.
