a (hot day!!) day around durlston (1 Viewer)

well yets kick start this off then, today with my aunt driving me there we visited Durlston to have a look at some of the common seabirds. When we arrived there we were greeted by the songs of Chiffchaffs and willow warblers singing high in the tree tops.....walking along the beginning of the seacoast we only saw a few chaffinches, bluetits, blackbirds. later on the path we came to where the seabirds nested so i got out my scope and scanned around the cliffs(the ledge most of them breed on is not viewable because its right below you)Fulmars floated past with the occasional herring and BB gulls in tow, guillimots rested on the sea below giving some lovely views, after awhile i spotted a juv peregrine swoop past sending all the fulmars after it,it gave fantastic views a real treat. On the way back two Kestrels hovered above my head.....

so not a bird filled day(i was hoping for some passing manxies or a whinchat) but still very enjoyable:t:
