Thursday was a planting day at the Nature Conservancy preserve at Honomalino. We planted mau'u la'ili (sisyrinchium acre) haiwale (cyrtandra menziesii), 'oha wai (clermontia clermontioides) and phyllostegia floribunda. We also checked plantings of cyanea hamatiflora and delissea undulata in the nearby State forest reserve for flowers. Cyanea were not flowering, but delissea were. More loulu (pritchardia schattaueri) will be planted this month, as well.
It was a busy trip, so there was no time for exploring.
