In The African Night (1 Viewer)

The cradle of Humanity anthropoligists say
Africa the great Continent from here far away
And though for the air ticket I cannot afford to pay
If wishes come true I will go there one day.

Their love of dance, song and music is a wonderful thing
In their Villages the tribal people all night dance and sing
I fancy I can hear them sing in the night
As they dance in a ring in the full moon's dim light.

Flying insects in their billions in the warm night sky
And the big male lion roar and the hyenas cry
By the African Villages hours after sundown
In the African night miles from the nearest big Town.

Planet Earth's greatest Continent many would agree
It is known as the cradle of humanity
Where dangerous creatures live wild and range free
In a part of the World I have yet for to see.

A Continent of people who sing just for the love of song
Their bond to our Earth Mother has always been strong
The sound of their drums echo in the moonlight
As they sing and they dance in the African night.
