The Mighty Goddess Of Nature

Posted Sunday 29th November 2009 at 22:51 by Francis Duggan
The only visible God that's how to me it does seem
The mighty Goddess of Nature she always reign supreme
In woodland and open country in river and in stream
The Goddess of our Planet not one born of a dream.

The miracles of Nature I see them every day
The sparrows with small feathers line their straggly nest of hay
On shed rafters or under house eaves or in a bush or tree
Just one of the many wonders that in Nature one does see.

The writers write about her the artists on canvas her does draw
The mighty Goddess of Nature the one who inspires awe
Of her amazing beauty and her destructive power
The one who can shake the Earth in anger is the one who can create a flower.

The Goddess of all ages her Seasons come and go
And her rivers from her mountains to her great oceans flow
The one who creates great beauty can knock great buildings down
And leave a trail of destruction as she rages through the Town.

Just like all other life forms we are mere mortals you and I
But the mighty Goddess of Nature is the one who will never die
And though most to their invisible God do choose to kneel and pray
To Nature's earthy bosom we must return one day.
