The Tree Poisoners (1 Viewer)

In the City of Sydney at Blackwattle Bay
An environmental crime was committed not in light of day
But in the dark of night someone poisoned some trees
Many of which bore flowers for pollinating bees
Those caught poisoning trees face a million dollar fine
No matter what sort of tree gum, wattle deciduous or pine
Those who poison trees lacking in common sense
And what they do is seen as a serious offence
In Blackwattle Bay no arrests have been made
Those who poisoned the trees for their crimes have not paid
The birds need trees for to roost on and build their nests and sing
And those who poisoned them have done a horrible thing
And those who poisoned the trees at Blackwattle Bay
To karma 'twould seem for their crimes have to pay.
