Griffon vultures in River Lobos Canyon (1 Viewer)

IMG_6287.JPG
I went out from Ayllón towards River Lobos Canyon to finish the short trip of Labour day.

On the way I saw a lot of chaffinches.Males seem a little bolder, however, females were not so exposed on the ground in my presence and they were more in the branches while I was taking the photos. I also saw some long-tailed tit

River Lobos Canyon Natural Park (for the spanish River Wolves) is a deep canyon carved by the river on the limestone. It is an immense Karst of 27 km. filled of caves.

The walls are full of vultures. The vultures nest in the hollows of the canyon. I was lucky and I could took a photo of a nest with a chick. I did not disturb it, It was from 200 m.

One of the most visited part is the Romanesque chapel with Gothic influences from the S XIII. The chapel is all that remains of a Templar monastery.
