In early October I went to the Natural Park of Despeñaperros. The view on the trail of the Barranco de Valdeazores were spectacular.
It allows to observe the grandeur of this deep cut in Sierra Morena. It is the main pass between the center of Spain Andalusia.
The summit has golden and imperial eagles, but only griffont vultures flew near my camera.
September rains were scarce, so mushrooms were also scarcde in October. We saw some Macrolepiota Procera this day, and two days later we saw some people looking for red pine mushrooms.
I sasw some treecreeper among the pines and many crested tits.
The next day we took the path of Empredraillo, a rest of and old roman road. When I drove to park in Miranda del Rey I saw a pair of jays.
The day before in Valdeazores I saw them too, but they were too quick for my camera.
You could see deers on the hillside of Miranda, almost beside to the own village of Miranda del Rey.
Anyway I was looking for jays, which are a species that resisted me to photograph because of his shyness. It is not difficult to hear them because they are so noisy, but when I just take the camera they always have gone away. So this day I made up for so many frustrated shots. There are not great pictures because of the low light and the distance, but they are my first photos of jays and I am happy of them.
On a wire one young ortolan bunting was singing.
The abundance of dung beetles was impressive, I guess Scarabeus laticollis.
A black vulture flew high in the sky.
At the turn of the road I could photograph another Jay. This was eating a green small fruit.
