Another visit to the sanctaury

... produced ZERO warblers, instead, four species of sparrows (incl Chipping and Savannah, new to my BIGBY list) and one early House Wren, singing away.

The list is now at a pathetic 47. However I'll be in Central Park as often as possible this year. I foresee a few flycatchers, 3 swallow species, a swift, one to three vireos, the other two mimids (catbird, thrasher), one or two more wren species, no less than twenty more warblers and maybe some other things hanging around. Maybe even a White-crowned Sparrow - I've seen them there in spring twice, and this year I had my first just yesterday at the beach. I have never had them on the shore in spring, however they sometimes appear in great numbers in fall (my record is 35).

3 swallows species in Central Park? I think they were: Barn Swallow (because I saw this too :P), Tree Swallow(?) and what else? Purple Martin? I'm sorry for stupid question, but I saw only Barn, Tree and Bank Swallow and I reckon swallows are in CP all summer (because for example warblers are not breeding as you said).

Maybe, maybe (I hope) I will go to NY on following holidays ^^

Nice to hear from you Wiktoria, it's been a while.

There are always Barns and Trees like you guessed. In the past I've seen Northern Rough-winged Swallows over the Lake.

Thank you for your answer, Brendan!

Now, when I came back on the BirdForum, I will read your blog regularly to be up-to-date (about birds' life in NY state)
