The best weather of the trip today, with a crystal clear frosty dawn and a perfect 45 degree afternoon. Fewer birds around in the morning, though the afternoon was more active than yesterday, minus the departed army of starlings. The best moments were a lazy chickenhawk sitting prominently on a park fence, and a trio of brown creepers browsing the trees alongside me. I finally got a good photo of each.

We also drove by the tundra swans. They aren't as spread out as usual, perhaps due to more ice on the river, but it looked like the usual numbers. 5000+ swans(?), thousands of other waterfowl, and 30+ bald eagles in view.
