Inner of Ría de Arousa IV. Ostral Islet. (1 Viewer)

IMG_0200.JPG
At the tip of Illa ostral I began to see whimbrels. They were typical of this place, but I had not seen them until this moment
A couple of years ago there were many curlews and almost no oystercatcher. Now there are a lot of oystercatchers and less whimbrels.
I just saw one sandpiper. Suddenly one of the four egrets who were on the beach flew me out apparently to sea; but I realised later that only was circling the islet.
And so I walked back to the Isthmus by the western part of the islet. Dozens of oystercatchers.
In the shallow waters of the sandy isthmus were redshanks with the oystercatchers. This was also a surprise, this was not as usual species here over the years. I should see about twenty or thirty redshanks.
I looked the beach across the Isthmus, more oystercatchers, redshanks and some whimbrel.
And of course, lesser black-headed, and yellow legged gulls.
Two of the four egrets were still in the place.
And when I was leaving to the car I saw the other two at the base of Pedrarrubia point. I realised that the egret that overflown me only was circling the islet.
