A Warm Day In Latter December

Posted Wednesday 26th August 2009 at 02:15 by Francis Duggan
A warm day in latter December and quite warm blows the strong Summer breeze
The forecast has it in the mid thirties 35 to 36 degrees
'Tis so warm out in the sunshine and 'tis even warm in the shade
The myna birds are even panting and for warmer climates they seem made,
A warm day in latter December even warmer than it was yesterday
A very warm end to the old year the new year scarce thirty hours away
The windblown dust is flying in the Parkland the black duck sits in the shade of the trees
A respite from the very warm sunshine the coolness from it gives him ease,
A warm day in latter December and not a rain cloud in the sky
The sun and wind is soaking the natural moisture and leaving the ground bare and dry
For this time of year such weather is not unusual and though few people are out on the street
Not everyone likes cooler weather and not everyone dislikes the heat
The myna birds visibly panting and dust it is flying in the breeze
And the temperatures in the mid thirties a high of 36 degrees.
