Dr. Rob Tovey

Posted Monday 22nd October 2018 at 16:42 by brackenb
It is with great sadness I have recently heard of the passing of Rob Tovey recently of Mauritania, Oman and Saudi Arabia. Rob was an avid birder of all of these countries and contributed much to the birding records of each of these much under reported lands. He was a good friend and mentor and will be greatly missed.

Gang of crows beat up Tiffany!!

Posted Saturday 14th July 2018 at 16:55 by Fraulein ash
So about a week ago, I was sitting out on my back porch where I always sit in the AM to watch "my" birds. I saw my female RBWO, Tiffany (bride of Chucky, the RBWO) sitting next door on her favorite pine tree that she always sits on before she flies into our yard to hit our feeders. Suddenly, a gang of crows shows up and she starts drumming and squeaking frantically... she doesn't want them on "her" tree. Unfortunately for her, the crows also love that specific tree as I see them...
