Oregon Junco

Posted Saturday 20th October 2012 at 18:04 by lastdefense
I saw another Junco today - this time a different subspecies. Yesterday was a Dark-Eyed Pink-Sided Junco and according to my research today was an Oregon Junco

Am I having too much fun with this?

Woot!

Super excited to have "discovered" a new type of bird today. With the help of the forum I learned that who I saw was a dark-eyed, pink sided Junco. Two of them! My yard was just buzzing this morning - I had some regulars - Mourning Doves and Sparrows - but also a House Finch, a couple of Ravens and of course the Juncos :)
