Nature She Lives On Forever

Posted Thursday 3rd December 2009 at 22:08 by Francis Duggan
We hear of and read of earthquakes, huge winds and huge floodings in the newspapers and on the radio each day
And Climate Change is for real and happening despite what the sceptics do say
The more money you have in such a case the more that you do stand for to lose
To none the Nature Goddess is subservient her own ways she always does choose
The signs of Climate Change are quite evident you see them around everywhere
The creeks and the drains are not flowing the...

The Goddess Of Nature

Posted Thursday 3rd December 2009 at 22:04 by Francis Duggan
The Goddess of land and of sea
The one who feeds humanity
And all of life forms big and small
The one who takes care of us all,
The Goddess of thunder and fire
Great fear and great awe she inspire

Memories Of The Chaffinch

Posted Thursday 3rd December 2009 at 22:02 by Francis Duggan
On the last time that I heard the chaffinch sing

When the hawthorns were laden in their white blossoms of...

The People Who Love Nature

Posted Wednesday 2nd December 2009 at 22:33 by Francis Duggan
Not seen as great or special or the leaders of our time
But to the people who love Nature I dedicate this rhyme
They dedicate their free time for the future of human kind
And in the person who loves Nature a great person you will find.

The person who loves Nature be it he or be it she
Is someone who is a good friend of all of humanity
For we belong to Nature though some may not agree
Like every other life form that's how 'twould seem to me....

Thinking Of Semaphore

Posted Wednesday 2nd December 2009 at 22:30 by Francis Duggan
In fancy I hear the silver gulls in the park by the sea shore
And walk on the jetty above the wide beach in beautiful Semaphore
And see the fishers on the jetty casting out a line
A half an hour before nightfall in the fading sunshine
At the tables outside of the cafes on Semaphore road the friends and families meet
To have a chat for a half an hour and relax and drink and eat
And all the while through the main street the cars buzz up and down
Old...
