CBC Turley, Oklahoma (1 Viewer)

Had the Christmas Bird Count on Saturday the 20th. I went with two others and had a blast. The weather started out nice but a front moved through and the wind turned and the temperature dropped. The birds clung tight to the underbrush and were for the most part quiet. The pecan crop failed this year which has affected the woodpeckers and other winter residents of the pecan fields.
We birded a golf course and park, several farms and lots of rural roadsides. We also hiked the bicycle path and several side roads into the woods.
The wind was about 30 mph and the temp was below 25 so it was cold. Our list is below:
